!!!!!!!! There’s more Wee Doctor!!!!!!!!! I didn’t know!!!! There’s more!!!!!! It’s amazing! I forgot you could do that, reach down into the quiet part of my thoughts and lay them out on the page so I could watch other people thinking and feeling them and remember to slow down so that I could think, myself. Thank you.

I’m glad you like it!  Its always the best thing to have someone like my writing!  Its always seemed to me that I sort of fell sideways into this whole thing, and if my writing can do a little for someone that so many other good stories have done for me than I’m glad to do it!

You couldn’t have pleased me more with your praise.  Often my own thoughts get a bit wonked up and I try to write things out like that for myself.  Lay out thoughts and feelings like corpses, or clothes, or a good meal depending on what I need to do with them.  The Narrow Line has been really good for that.  I feel like everyone is getting a chance to say what they want to say in the order they need to say it – although I’ve always stood on the principle of letting other people play as much as they want in my sandbox and continue the story if they want to.

I’ve reached the point in working on the original series that those character are only cousins to the ones from BBC Sherlock and I’ve started having to edit the name Loughty back to Sherlock and Ben back to John instead of the other way around.  It’s the point I think when I’m ready to put aside the series and start on the next thing.  This is way more information than you asked for, but there was just something in the way you said what you said that got me all happy and excited about the series again.

Hello! Sorry to keep bugging you, but in chapter 19 of Bantam Wars, John said he’d leave a message for Roost to listen to. I have to know… does Roost still have that message? Did it ever get recorded? If it’s still around, does anyone else know about it?

Never worry about bugging me!  I love to be bugged!  Roost does still have the message, he’s saved it somewhere.  His family knows about his message, but none of them have ever heard it, its just for Roost.  Its a positive message, helpful and hopeful, loving.  Its not something Roost listens to and cries in the rain, its a bar to which he knows he can raise himself and a bar to which he can bind himself when doubt and confusion start sloughing in.

I try to give some privacy to my characters inner autonomy, so I don’t know what’s specifically in the note, but here’s official permission to make up whatever you want!
